Dinas Powys Ladies FC 4 - Barry Town Development 0

HAVING their fourth clean sheet in a row the Dinas Powys Ladies 'Villagers proved' too hot to handle as they came out comfortable winners in the local derby.

Laura Murray with a fan club cheering her on in the stands, opened the scoring from a well delivered Gemma Crowley corner within five minutes.

The home side settled well but failure to make their ball retention and dominance count a 1 - 0 lead at the break is always a tricky scoreline to defend.

The second half saw Dinas fully in control as Murray, Nao, Jones, Bounds, Chapman and Bowles all came close to increasing the lead.

Nao, putting in player of the match display, managed to net two fast goals following some good interaction between her and Murray.

Saunders and Jones in the middle played everything simply as they looked to free Alex Allen down the left who was seeing a lot of the ball starting the attacks.

The introduction of Demi Bounds saw the Barry side struggling to get out as her work rate and quality was top draw. She was rewarded with the fourth goal.

This was a very strong display from all 16 girls and specially the defence who never switched off and look stronger each game.
