HUNDREDS of children and young people from across South Wales enjoyed a feast of rugby, boxing and football camps at the Vale Sports Arena during February half-term.

The week long event in partnership with the Vale Sports Arena, PG10 Coaching and Adventure Camp Wales took place at the Vale Sports Arena in Penarth.

Sports camps offered each child aged between six and 16-years-old opportunities to be coached by top sports stars and coaches.

The first camp was with Wales and British Lion legend and Grand Slam winner Lee Bryne and other top coaches.

Children also had the unique experience of being coached by a host of Wales legends and as well as Team GB Rugby 7's star Jasmine Joyce and Wales ladies star Alisha Butcher who both took time out of their Wales 6 Nations preparations.

Children took part in a host of sessions showing them different techniques and tips on how to get to the top of the game.

Undefeated former world champion of the world Joe Calzaghe put children through their paces with his Calzaghe Academy and his talented son Connor, introducing children to the art of boxing and the fitness and conditioning benefits

Joe also gave the children words of inspiration in a special Q&A session.

The last camp was a unique two day Soccer Camp delivered by coaches from PG10 Coaching. Hundreds of children attended the camp learning new skills and techniques in a fun and safe environment.

PG10 continues to grow with more record numbers of children and young people taking part in activities and opportunities.

More camps are planned throughout the Easter Holidays. For more information please email info@valesportsarena.cymru
