OLD Penarthians RFC has announced its intention to form a women's rugby team.
A series of WRU Try Our Game events will be held at the club during May and June allowing Women aged 18 and above to sample the game of rugby.
No experience is necessary and all are welcome.
Headed up by Old Penarthians' Stu Barter, a WRU level two coach, the club will also be looking to recruit coaches and volunteers in addition to players.
Mr Barter said: "With Senior Men's first and second teams, an active veteran's team and a thriving minis and juniors section, the club provides a real sense of belonging - we are a family club and all proud to be a part of one club.
"We have a groundbreaking girl's rugby team for whom my daughter plays and forming a women's team was the next logical step."
Try Our Game sessions will be held at Old Penarthians RFC in St Mark's Road, Penarth on the following dates:
Thursday, May 11 from 7-8pm.
Thursday, May 18 from 7-8pm.
Thursday, May 25 from 7-8pm.
Sunday, May 28 from 1-2pm.
Sunday, June 4 from 1-2pm.
