Sully Girls Under 14s is just one of a four girls teams across age groups under 10s, under 11s, under 13s and under 14s, coached and managed by Sully Sports Football Club.

The football club is comprised of a total of 16 girls, Sully Girls U14s, also known as Sully Pinks, are preparing for another season in the South Wales Girls league where they will play teams from all over the South Wales area, proudly wearing their new Redrow sponsored kit.

In October 2015 the club received a surprise visit from Wales’ biggest name in football, Gareth Bale, and children from the club, including some of the present U14x girls, took part in a training session with the star which featured on a BBC Football Focus report.

Steve Gunney, coach of the Sully Under 14s, said: "Sully Sports FC is run entirely by volunteers so sponsorships such as Redrow’s are a huge help towards keeping our kit and local amenities as up-to-date as possible.

"The girls all absolutely love their kit - it really makes them stand out on the pitch and lifts their spirits when they know they’ll be playing in pink."

Redrow Homes sponsored a similar kit for the girl’s team three years ago in celebration of their development in Wenvoe, The Grange, which is now part of the Redrow New Heritage Collection.

The girls and their coach have since visited the development, with this second sponsorship underlining their continued partnership and mutual support of each other within the community.

Beverley Wookey, sales director at Redrow Homes South Wales, said: "At Redrow Homes we are always looking for ways in which we can provide support to local community groups and help continue the excellent work that they do.

"We are delighted to sponsor a brand new kit for Sully Girls FC’s Under 14s team and wish them all the best of luck for their upcoming games.

"The club do a fantastic job at training and inspiring young children, so it’s with great pleasure that we are now sponsoring them on the field."
