BELLEVUE Bowling Club emerged victorious last weekend in the annual Velindre charity bowls event, staged at Penyrheol Bowling Club.
The invitational event, which has now run for the past nine years, successfully raised around £3,000 for the Velindre Hospital cancer charity based in South Wales.
The tournament comprised of around 30 local sides, with Penarth-based Bellevue becoming the first side from outside the Welsh Valleys to win the trophy.
Bellevue Bowling Club skip Les Aubrey described the event as: " A fantastic day and an excellent result for Bellevue, and all for a great cause."
The Bellevue side comprised of Barrie Bagwell, Jeff Harrison, John Allen and Skip Les Aubrey.
