FORMER Wales and British Lions stars Mike Phillips, Shane Williams, Lee Byrne and James Hook entertained rugby fans in Penarth last week, in an event hosted by the Vale Sports Arena.
Current Wales and Lions scrum-half Rhys Webb was among those in attendance for the evening, which saw Phillips, Williams, Byrne and Hook thrill and amuse guests in equal measure when discussing their illustrious playing careers.
Peter Griffiths, director of the Vale Sports Arena, said: "We are privileged to be working with such big sporting stars and also amazing charities that benefit so many worthwhile cases.
"To have already hosted guests like Pele, Gazza (Paul Gascoigne), (Jamie) Carragher, (Robbie) Fowler and many others is humbling. To have these big names supporting the arena and PG10 makes a huge difference to so many children in the area.
