DAN Biggar has acknowledged that nothing other than perfection will lead to the current crop of Wales stars writing themselves into folklore by beating the All Blacks.

New Zealand have won all 25 games since being turned over 13-8 by a side featuring greats such as Ken Jones, Cliff Morgan and Bleddyn Williams.

A victory at the Millennium Stadium this evening would surpass any Six Nations triumph and fly-half Biggar knows that

“We all have to come up with nine out of 10 or 10 out of 10 performances to get a result. That’s the reality,” said the Ospreys man.

“Anything below nine out of 10 from each of us is probably not going to be good enough. It’s exciting. We have to turn up and push ourselves to demand excellence of each other.”

"It has been a long time not to beat the All Blacks, and we have everything in ourselves to do it.

"It's just trying to play that down and making sure we prepare as best we can and hopefully we can create something special.

"It would be probably the best moment in any of our careers to pull off a win against maybe the best rugby side ever to play the game.

"There is not too much pressure on us. New Zealand are expected to come and win and we have no qualms about being the underdog.”

Biggar may not be locking horns with Dan Carter but says that the superstar fly-half has a pretty able deputy in Beauden Barrett.

“Dan Carter’s an iconic player, one of the best ever to have played the game, and you always want to test yourself against the best,” said Biggar, who has recovered from a groin injury to start ahead of Rhys Priestland.

“But he hasn’t played an awful lot for the All Blacks over the past year or so, and they’ve had a pretty good year with (Aaron) Cruden and Barrett, who’ve been superb.

“You always want to play against the very best and he certainly is, but it’s doing the two players who have been superb over the past 12 months a disservice not to want to test yourself against them as well.

“Beauden Barrett is an exceptional rugby player and we are going to have to be on our guard for him.”
