WALES will attempt to get to grips with their "main torturer" Willie le Roux when they welcome South Africa to the Millennium Stadium on Saturday, writes Chris Kirwan.

The full-back has been named in a new-look Springboks back three along with wingers Cornal Hendricks and Lwazi Mvovo for the Millennium Stadium encounter.

Coach Heyneke Meyer is without JP Pietersen, Bryan Habana and Johan Goosen because of club commitments but is still able to name a rapid and elusive trio that will pose plenty of problems for their hosts.

Le Roux is the star man and was a constant pain in the Boks 38-16 first Test triumph in Durban last June while speedster Hendricks, who earned the last-gasp penalty try that saw Wales edged out 31-30 in Nelspruit, is sure to provide a cutting edge if given space.

"The Springboks have threats all over the field," said defence coach Shaun Edwards. "They have an incredibly powerful forward pack, their defence is the best in the world at the moment and they have outstanding backs.

"They have a lot of speed, intelligent players and a constructive kicking game and an outstanding full-back in Willie le Roux.

"He was the main torturer for us throughout the summer and is a guy that we certainly need to keep our eye on if we are to have a chance of winning.

Edwards continued: "I was unpleasantly surprised how good Hendricks was in the summer, his ability to step off both feet. He is a guy that I didn't know a lot about but after the that series it was clear why he was such an outstanding sevens player."

Hendricks could be once again be pitted against Liam Williams, whose illegal tackle saw the Springboks edge in front 31-30 in the second Test, as George North is struggling with concussion.

Wales boss Warren Gatland names his side at 11am today and if North is ruled out then Cardiff Blues centre Cory Allen rather than Newport Gwent Dragons wing/full-back Hallam Amos is likely to be promoted to the bench.
