WEST Brom have agreed a deal worth up to £8million for Wales defender James Chester.

The 26-year-old is due at the club for a medical this afternoon with terms agreed to move to The Hawthorns from Hull following their relegation from the Premier League.

He is expected to tie up the switch within the next 24 hours after leaving Hull's training camp in Austria as Tony Pulis' recruitment drive gathers pace.

It is believed that the transfer is worth up to £8million should all the clauses in the deal be triggered while Chester is an Albion player.
