NEWPORT Gwent Dragons will go up against Scott Baldwin and Dan Lydiate in Saturday's Guinness Pro12 derby against the Ospreys.

The duo have been released by the Wales management for game time in the Liberty Stadium clash (kick-off 3pm) along with uncapped Ospreys wing Keelan Giles, who has been training with the autumn squad.

Hooker Baldwin is battling the Scarlets' Ken Owens for the 2 jersey while former Dragons blindside Lydiate is looking for game time after recently coming back from shoulder and hamstring injuries that saw him miss the summer tour to New Zealand.

As expected, Dragons duo Hallam Amos and Tyler Morgan will remain in camp.

The former is hoping to keep his starting spot after playing all three Tests against the All Blacks on the wing and was always likely to be retained with Wales sweating on the availability of Liam Williams, who suffered an ankle injury in the Scarlets' European loss at Saracens last weekend.

Morgan is the fourth-choice centre in caretaker boss Rob Howley's squad with Scott Williams, who is attempting to break up the established midfield combination of Jamie Roberts and Jonathan Davies, back in training after missing the Sarries fixture with an ankle problem.

Wales have also released scrum-half Lloyd Williams and loosehead prop Rhys Gill for Cardiff Blues' encounter with the Scarlets in the capital on Friday.

However, captain Sam Warburton will sit out that fixture meaning the flanker will lead his country out against Australia on Saturday week after more than a month on the sidelines because of cheekbone and neck injuries.

Wales host Argentina, Japan and South Africa after their opener against the Wallabies.

- Tom Wood has been recalled for England's autumn series to make his first appearance in the national squad since being jettisoned after the World Cup.

Head coach Eddie Jones has turned to Wood to combat the injury crisis that has thinned his options at openside to sixth choice after James Haskell, Jack Clifford, Sam Jones, Mike Williams and Maro Itoje were ruled out through injury.

The 29-year-old won the last of 42 caps against Uruguay a year ago and his international career appeared to be over after he revealed in January that Jones had told him he was "distinctly average" and lacked the world-class work-rate demanded of a blindside flanker.

There are six uncapped players included in the 33-man squad in prop Kyle Sinckler, back-rower Nathan Hughes, second-rower Charlie Ewels, wing Mike Haley, fly-half Alex Lozowski and centre Ben Te'o.

England on Sunday leave for a week-long training camp in Portugal and open their autumn series against South Africa on November 12 with Fiji, Argentina and Australia also visiting Twickenham.
