JLS gave presenter Lorraine Kelly a musical treat as they sang Happy Birthday to mark her 50th.

The GMTV host, who was presented with a special cake featuring an image of her made from icing, also received messages from stars such as Gerard Butler, Tom Jones, Michael Keaton and Ricky Gervais.

Channel 4 presenter Paul O'Grady caught his friend by surprise and took over presenting this morning's edition to celebrate.

Lorraine was given champagne and roses before being treated to a review of fashions and hairstyles over the past years.

JLS boys Oritse Williams, Jonathan 'JB' Gill, Marvin Humes and Aston Merrygold joined her on the sofa to sing a birthday greeting.

She said: "I have to say thank you to all the viewers who have sent me cards and good wishes and everything - it's just been absolutely incredible."

But there was downside to her public celebration - Lorraine told viewers: "And now I can't ever lie about my age, can I?"
