EDMUNDS John Andrew Born 9th July 1937, Home Farm Sully. Died peacefully at University Hospital Wales on 17th March 2021, aged 83 years. Husband to Astrid and beloved father of Nigel and Andrew, father-in-law to Phillipa and Kate and adored grandfather to Isabelle, Jacob, Annie and Martha. Prize winning farmer at Greenyard Farm for over 40 years and then built and developed St Andrews Major Golf Club on the farmland. Long time table tennis player, not missing a season for over 40 years in the Barry and District League and earning Welsh representation. Proud rotarian of Dinas Powys, receiving special recognition for his services to the Rotary Club. Long time member and Past Club Captain of Dinas Powys Tennis Club and previous member of Dinas Powys Bowls club. Loved watching all sports and was a Welsh Rugby fanatic. John's funeral will take place April 8th 2021 at 12pm at the Cardiff and Glamorgan Crematorium in Barry. Due to government guidelines attendance to John's funeral is by family invitation only. If you wish to pay your respects to John, his cortege will be leaving his home at 11.20am and travel via Millbrook Road, Mill Road, the Village Square, Mount Road and then passed Dinas Powys Tennis Club and left down the Westra and passed St Andrews Major Golf Club, before proceeding to the crematorium.
