Published on 03/06/2021

KEEGAN Camelia Keegan, Camelia Elizabeth (nee Wilkinson) Age 91. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Camelia Keegan who passed away peacefully at home on 17 May 2021. Beloved widow of Brin, much loved Mum of Paul, Martin and Dawn. Mother in Law of Julie and Steve. Grandmother of Thomas, James, Georgia, Stuart and Katie and their partners Angharad, Mike and Charlotte. Great Grandmother of Florence. Camelia lived her life to the full. She was a team tennis player and Club Captain for many years at Penarth Lawn Tennis Club, Rectory Road and spearheaded, together with Brin, the plans to secure the club from closure in the 1970's. Camelia enjoyed traveling and played Bridge at the Kymin in Penarth and in Sully. Camelia will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. She suffered health problems in recent years which she fought bravely and the family would like to thank all the consultants, doctors, nurses and carers who supported her. Also her son Paul was instrumental in getting her home from hospital in line with her wishes and caring for her at home which undoubtedly prolonged her life. The funeral service will be held at Barry Crematorium on Monday 7th June. Due to covid restrictions this will be by invitation only. Family flowers only, donations if desired may be made to Breast Cancer Wales. Resting at Park Funeral Directors.
