VALE OF GLAMORGAN COUNCIL SECTION 38 COMMONS ACT 2006 CYMYLAU AND OGMORE DOWN COMMON ST BRIDES MAJOR

NOTICE is hereby given that The Vale of Glamorgan Council has applied to the Welsh Ministers in Wales for consent under Section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Cymylau and Ogmore Down Common, St Brides Major.

The proposed works are:

Implementation of an Automatic Number Plate Recognition - Rising Bollard System in order to manage access / egress to the Rivermouth Car Park. Increase the width of carriageway locally to facilitate new system and vehicle movements.

Trenching works required to duct and cable the electrical feed from Main Road down the access / egress road to Rivermouth Car Park to the proposed location for the installation of the rising bollard system.

Excavation of existing carriageway in order to facilitate the installation of the proposed new system.

The installation of 8 No. cycle stands, 4 No. adjacent to the Lifeguard Station and 4 No. adjacent to the toilet block. Excavation required to accommodate the foundations.

The area the works will cover is 94 square metres and 74 metres (length).

The works will be located on the access road to Rivermouth Car Park Ogmore By Sea and adjacent to the Lifeguard Station and toilet block.

During the implementation of the works the appropriate Chapter 8 signage and segregation methods will be used to provide safe working areas.

The area of works will have red and white plastic barriers placed around the perimeter in order to provide segregation of the public and grazing livestock from the works area. Heras fencing will also be utilised to protect any areas of excavation or trenching works, with all fencing and barriers removed when the works are complete.

HYSBYSIR drwy hyn fod Cyngor Bro Morgannwg wedi gwneud cais i Weinidogion Cymru am ganiatad dan Adran 38 o Ddeddf Tiroedd Comin 2006 i wneud gwaith cyfyngedig ar Dir Comin Cymylau ac Ogwr, Saint-y-brid.

Y gwaith arfaethedig yw:

Gweithredu Dull Adnabod Rhif Cofrestru Awtomatig - System Bolard Codi er mwyn rheoli mynediad / allanfa i Faes Parcio Rivermouth. Cynyddu lied y Ion gerbydau yn lleol er mwyn hwyluso system newydd a symudiadau cerbydau.

Gwaith ffos sydd ei angen i ddwythell a chebl y porthiant trydanol o Main Road i lawr y ffordd fynediad / allanfa i Faes Parcio Rivermouth i'r lleoliad arfaethedig ar gyfer gosod y system bolard codi.

Cloddio'r Ion gerbydau bresennol er mwyn hwyluso'r gwaith o osod y system newydd arfaethedig.

Gosod 8 o stondinau beiciau, 4 gerllaw'r Orsaf Achub Bywydau a 4 gerllaw'r bloc toiledau. Angen cloddio i ddarparu ar gyfer y sylfeini.

Yr arwynebedd y bydd y gwaith yn ei gwmpasu yw 94 metr sgwar a 74 metr (hyd).

Bydd y gwaith wedi'i leoli ar y ffordd fynediad i Faes Parcio Rivermouth Aberogwr a gerllaw'r Orsaf Achub Bywydau a'r bloc toiledau.

Wrth weithredu'r gwaith defnyddir yr arwyddion a'r dulliau gwahanu Pennod 8 priodol i sicrhau mannau gweithio diogel.

Gosodir rhwystrau plastig coch a gwyn o amgylch ardal y gwaith er mwyn atal y cyhoedd a'r da byw sy'n pori rhag mynd i mewn i ardal y gwaith. Caiff ffensys heras eu defnyddio hefyd i ddiogelu unrhyw ardaloedd lie y mae gwaith cloddio neu dorri ffosydd, gyda'r holl ffensys a rhwystrau'n cael eu tynnu pan fydd y gwaith wedi'i gwblhau.
