APPLICATION FOR A MARINE LICENCE FOR M4 CORRIDOR AROUND NEWPORT (M4CaN)

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Part 4, Chapter 1, Section 68 of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 that Welsh Government (Economy and Transport) has applied to Natural Resources Wales, acting on behalf of the Licensing Authority, for a marine licence for construction of a new section of three lane motorway between Castleton (Junction 29 of the existing M4) and Magor (Junction 23 of the existing M4) to the south of Newport in South Wales, together with a number of Complementary Measures on the existing M4 between the same junctions. The scheme includes bridges over the River Usk, the River Ebbw and ABP Newport Docks, bridge protection measures in Newport Docks and a drainage outfall that require a marine licence.

Representations or objections should be made within 28 days of the date of this notice, quoting reference: CML1844.
In your representation/objection please include an address to which correspondence may be sent.
Natural Resources Wales, acting on behalf of the Licensing Authority, will pass to the applicant a copy of any representation or objection received.
