HIRAETH is an inspiring performance of music, song and dance celebrating the culture of Wales along with the spirit and passion of the Celts.
With the kick-off of the Six Nations on the horizon, what better way is there to get in the patriotic mood than by experiencing this breathtaking showcase of Welsh choral music?
The event takes place at St David’s Hall on Saturday, February 14 and includes special guests Only Boys Aloud.
The evening will take you on a journey through Welsh heritage from Celtic times to its traditions as the ‘Land of Song.’ Dowlais and Cardiff Arms Park Male Voice Choirs will accompany the spectacular sounds of L’Orchestre D’Arverne throughout a two and a half hour show. The 64-piece orchestra will be joined by dancers from Auvergne, France.
Sharing the stage are special guest stars Only Boys Aloud, who will undoubtedly add to their repertoire of stunning performances having already topped the iTunes classical singles chart with their rendition of Calon Lân.
Proceeds from the show go to The Aloud Charity, which encourages participation in choral singing for all ages and abilities.
Don’t miss these leading lights of Celtic music reinvigorating Welsh choral traditions.
