LONDON-BASED duo Ten Fe will be touring their debut album throughout the UK, with a stop at Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff, on Saturday, March 11.

Ten Fe's members Ben Moorhouse and Leo Duncan, released Hit The Light on February 3.

Recorded in the studio built into the Berlin HQ of Kompakt Records in Berlin with Ewan Pearson (Jagwar Ma, M83, The Rapture), Hit The Light is a mix of different styles. The record fuses contemporary electronics and the band’s signature mix of Americana, Manchester baggy and soulful vocals. Comparisons drawn with the band have ranged from The War on Drugs and Jagwar Ma to Primal Scream and Bruce Springsteen.

Named Hit The Light after the big theme of the album: coming from dark into light; an act of renewal. The album is the result of four years’ of work, which has led them from busking on the London Underground, through a bedroom in Birmingham, to eventually recording in Berlin.

The band are now based in London permanently – living close to their studio in Walthamstow, E17. To create the live band which would fulfill the new sound, they got Leo’s two school friends from Walsall involved, bass player Rob Shipley, and keyboardist Johnny Drain, Alex Hammond is on the drums.
