DYFFRYN Gardens will host an evening of Stargazing in the observatory.

Timed to follow the BBC's Stargazing Live TV Show, the Cardiff Astronomical Society will host the event on Friday, March 31.

Officers from the Cardiff Astronomical Society will be on hand to present a tour of the night sky and there will also be manned telescopes as well as plenty of stargazing information and advice from experienced astronomers.

In the event of bad weather on the day, the event will still continue.

Those attending are advised to bring a torch, hat, scarf and gloves and that it will be a five minute walk uphill to the observatory.

There are no age restrictions but an age guidance has been set at six and over and dogs on leads are welcomed.

Entry to the stargazing is free.

The National Trust will be selling refreshments during the event.

Booking is essential and tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.
