SIX of the cubs at the 6th Penarth Cub Scouts enthusiastically undertook their Chef's Badge on Saturday, November 17, having had training in safety and hygiene in the kitchen, healthy eating and different ways to cook food.

All of this culminated in the Cubs sending out invitations to family and guests to come to a dinner party in the church hall at Trinity Methodist Church.

The Cubs dressed smartly as waiters and greeted and seated their guests, having already prepared a three course meal (assisted by Leaders) which they served to their invited guests, among whom was the District Commissioner Julian Jordan, who presented each Cub with their Chef's Badge and a certificate to mark the occasion.

The Cubs had a fantastic time completing this badge and their parents were delighted and proud to be served a delicious dinner!.

Scouting is open to boys and girls aged six up, with youth membership from 6-25 years.

Scouting is run by adult volunteers, if you think you can help, from being a leader to helping support activities on an adhoc basis, get in touch with Julian Jordan on 0330 330 1907 or via www.scouts.org.uk/join
