EARLIER in the year, the cubs from 6th Penarth walked around Cosmeston to support two charities which they had chosen themselves.
The first was the Wales Air Ambulance, and after all sponsorship monies had been collected, Catrin Hall, the Community Co-ordinator South East, came to accept a cheque for £400 for the wonderful work which is done by this service. The cubs also have adopted a dog (Pippin) from the Dogs Trust with the remainder of the sponsorship money. Mums, Dads and dogs also all helped with the walk to make it a special occasion.
There is always room for more adults to help provide Scouting to the community. For more information visit www.penarthanddistrictscouts.org.uk for more information.
