A VALE-WIDE vision for housing throughout the county for the next five years has been set-out by the Vale Council.
The authority has prepared a draft Local Housing Strategy which aims to ensure all residents in the Vale have access to good quality, suitable housing and are able to live happily and independently in vibrant, sustainable communities.
It also sets out four key goals; to provide more homes and more choice, to improve homes and communities, to provide better advice and support, and to promote equality of access to services.
The Council said it was keen to obtain the views of residents and stakeholders, and has opened a public consultation, which will take place from September 1 to 28.
The questionnaire, as well as a copy of the draft strategy, is available online at www.valeofglamorgan.gov.uk/LHS
Hard copies are available to view in all Vale libraries, and at both the Civic Office and Docks Office.
Drop in sessions will be available for residents to discuss the strategy and give feedback.
The Civic Office, Holton Road, Barry will be open on September, 11 from 1pm to 6pm, and on September, 15 from 8am to 1pm.
Sessions will also be held at Penarth Library on September, 17 from 9.30am to 12.30pm, and at Cowbridge Library on September, 19 from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
