STORM Explorer Scout Unit started back with an exciting evening out taking on the challenge of a high ropes adventure. The group left Penarth in a minibus at 6pm to travel towards Caerphilly Mountain. They arrived at Mountain View Ranch, the 100 acre adventure park.
Without hesitation everyone was harnessed up and given a safety brief.
They then headed six meters up and took on the daring course, tackling zip wires, balance beams, barrels and stepping stones, all surrounded by the beautiful Welsh forests and mountains.
After completing the circuit three times the explorers returned to the ground feeling happy and challenged.
There was even time to spare climbing trees and searching the fairy forest before getting into the minibus and heading home. A great evening was had by all! Storm meets every Thursday at Padsac, 7-9pm.
