A PENARTH school is celebrating a "glowing" report from ESTYN.
St Joseph's Primary School's perfomance was rated as good and prospects for improvement were also judged to be good.
The school, which has 227 pupils, sent a letter home to parents which congratulated everyone on their co-operation in achieving the result.
Chairman of the governors Anthony Rogers wrote: “The governors are exceedingly pleased to share that Estyn have recognised that St Joseph’s is a good school with excellent features and many significant strengths are identified in the report.”
Pupils were seen to have a strong voice and enjoy opportunities to be part of the development of the school with a focus on the new school parliament.
The school was praised for its highly innovative learning environment which has a significant impact on pupils' achievement and well-being.
Head teacher Gareth Rein was said to provide strong and dynamic leadership and a clear vision for the future.
Teachers prepare lessons effectively and provide a range of resources to match pupils' needs and abilities.
