PUPILS at a local school have enjoyed a cookery session courtesy of a competition winning mother.
Annabelle Lloyd entered an online cookery contest and won a session for her son and ten classmates with 'Cook Stars' which she also attended.
The mother of three joined the young budding chefs in creating their own pizza dish.
She said: "It was a fab experience and the children had a great time. They loved the session and were delighted with their efforts.
As a keen amateur chef from an Italian background, I was particularly pleased that pizza was the chosen dish. I now have competition at home!"
Headteacher Steve Rees congratulated all involved.
"The children and Annabelle had a great time and there is no doubt that we need to involve children in more frequent cookery sessions, although we did seem to as much flour and dough on the floor at the end of the session as in the pizzas!"
