A WOMAN was rescued from the water after getting into difficulty near Penarth last weekend.
She was in trouble swimming towards Cardiff Bay on Saturday, October 15 when emergency services were called out.
The fire service tweeted that she was "treading water to stay safe" in the middle of the bay.
Fire crews, coastguard, police and ambulance crews were called out shortly before 10pm.
A spokesman for Penarth Coastguard said she was found "clinging to a moored yacht."
She was rescued by a fire service boat at about 10.25pm and was then handed over to paramedics.
