LIFEBOAT crews in Penarth carried out a late night rescue of a broken down fishing boat.
They were called out at 12.20am on Friday, October 21 to the 21 foot vessel which had lost the use of its engines near Cardiff Bay barrage.
There were two people on board and the station's Atlantic class lifeboat towed them and the stricken boat into the safety of the bay.
A total of 14 crew members were on hand to help with the rescue which a spokesman for the station said was a "fantastic effort."
