A CORONER has said that he is not satisfied that a popular teenager who fell from cliffs in Penarth intended to take his own life.
The inquest into the death of Miller Coyle, 15, from Penarth heard how he died from the injuries sustained in a fall from Lavernock Point on Sunday, February 26 this year.
The inquest, at Cardiff Coroner's Court, heard how on that day he had eaten with his family and told his parents he was going to meet friends at 7pm and would be back at 10pm.
Coroner Philip Spinney recorded a narrative verdict, adding: "I am not satisfied that it was Miller's intention to take his own life but nor can I say it was pure accident."
He added: "Miller lived in Penarth and had strong friendships and a loving family. He played online games and spent time in local parks.
"He did voluntary work at a charity shop and was always smiling and was never in trouble. There was no indication that there was anything troubling him.
"Miller was a popular young man with a strong group of friends and a loving family."
