A PENARTH based running club raised £2000 for Ty Hafan by completing the Cardiff Half Marathon last weekend.

On Sunday, October 1, the team from Tec Marina in Terra Nova Way helped raise funds and awareness for the Sully based children's hospice.

The team was made up of 12 runners from various companies based at Tec Marina.

The running club's chosen charity for the event was T? Hafan because of the fantastic work they do.

There were a total of 70 runners who ran the marathon in aid of Ty Hafan this year, and combined have raised £5,086.02 to date.

The Cardiff Half Marathon, first held in 2003, broke its own records this year with a total of 25,000 runners taking part in the annual event. The 13.1 mile route passes the city’s most iconic and historic landmarks, including Tec Marina, as runners headed through Penarth towards the barrage.

Located in Penarth Marina, Tec Marina is a 20,000 sq ft hi-tech, creative office workspace.
