A BY-ELECTION has been called in Sully following the resignation of a community councillor.
Cllr Chris Thorne has resigned from his seat for the Sully ward on Sully and Lavernock Community Council.
The vote is set to take place on Thursday, March 15 if the election is contested.
The deadline for nominations is 4pm on Friday, February 16 and nominations may be submitted on any day from Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm, except on bank holidays.
New applications to vote by post and requests to cancel or change an existing postal or proxy vote must reach the electoral registration officer at the Civic Offices in Holton Road, Barry by 5pm on February 28.
New applications to vote by proxy except on the grounds of a medical emergency must be received by 5pm on March 7 and those on the grounds of a medical emergency or work/service reasons must be received by 5pm on March 15.
