THE next film screening at Dinas Powys Community Cinema will be of the biographical drama ‘Goodbye Christopher Robin’ on Saturday, March 10.

The film tells the story of author A. A. Milne, best known as the creator of 'Winnie the Pooh', and the relationship between him and his son, Christopher Robin. Struggling to write after traumatic experiences during the First World War, Milne takes his son for walks in the woods and begins making up stories about the boy's adventures with his stuffed animals.

The film was directed by Simon Curtis, written by Frank Cottrell-Boyce and Simon Vaughan, and stars Domhnall Gleeson, Margot Robbie and Kelly Macdonald.

The volunteer-run cinema can be found at the Murchfield Community Centre, Sunnycroft Lane, Dinas Powys CF64 4QQ.

Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Tickets are priced at £4.50 and are available on the door, or can be purchased in advance from the DPVC office at the rear of the Community Centre (weekday mornings) or online at: ticketline.co.uk/murchfieldcommunity centre.
