A LONG-standing Penarth travel agency has had fresh new contemporary look.

Tui Holiday Store, in Windsor Road, has been open since 1994 and was closed for 10 days for its new refit.

Christina Retter from Cardiff Airport, Andrea Jones from Princess Cruises and Stacey Hurcombe, the Tui regional sales manager were among the staff and customers enjoying the opening celebrations on Thursday, September 13.

The ribbon was cut by Jane Cawley, who is one of the store's customers and who is the mother of Gareth Shaw who works as Tui cabin crew based at Cardiff Airport.

Tui are currently investing in a seven-year retail store refit programme to update the look of shops around the UK.

A spokesman for Tui said: "Being the best company to go on holiday with isn’t always about the holiday itself, it’s about the experience our customers receive before they travel. If you think about it, wherever you are, you’re more likely to appreciate that experience if it’s in modern, fresh surroundings as opposed to a shop that’s a little out dated."

The store also celebrated wining Shop of The Year 2017/2018 and received an award for service and sales.
