Penarth Darts League
THIS week in Penarth Darts we saw the top three teams in the league table all take 10 point wins, firstly at the Ex’s the Pirates came away with a 10-2 home win over the Golden Lion.
The pairs were shared with Mark taking the first for the Pirates on x8 supported by Paul with 140 125.
Sean took the next for the Lion with 100 100 x8, Pirates went on to take all the singles through sparkle 121 100 x10, x16, Paul 140 x3, 100 x1, Alan 140 x10, x10, Mark 100 x10, x10.
Richie took the Lions only singles point scoring 140 x5, Pirates went on to take the team leg with Alan on x2 after a 132 from Sparkle.
At the Coronation Club the home side Coro A took on the Ex’s Sparrows.
Sparrows took the lead early on and never really looked like relinquishing it at any point during the match.
Sparrows took both pairs with Elvis 105 and Paul Stowe 100 x8, John 140 100 x5, Ian Hit 100 140 for the Coro A.
Ian went on to win the first singles scoring 100 x4 and a maximum 180 x4, Dave also took a leg for the Coro a with 100 x4,100.
Sparrows singles wins came from Steve 140 x2, 100, Jack x16, 100, 100 100 x10, Paul Stowe 100, x20, 100 with an 80 out shot on x10, Elvis hit 100 x20 and x20, in the team leg Melvin hit 121 for the Coro A but they were outscored by the Sparrows with Elvis 100, Paul Stowe 100 and John 135 x20, final score Coro A 3, Ex’s Sparrows 10.
At the Station they took on the Coro B, Coro B took both pairs games with Anthony 100 and Kate with a 56 out shot on x4, Neil 100 and Lee 111 and x7.
Station took only one singles point through Paul with 100 x12, Coro B took 8 singles points with Neil x5, 121 x3, Anthony 124 x16, 137 134 x20 (16 darts)
Russ 100 123 x9, 100 100 x1, Lee 100 x8, 100 x10.
Station took the final point of the evening winning the team leg with Peter 120 and Paddy x7, final score Station 2, Coro B 10.
Notice to all teams, unfortunately the 501 pairs competition cannot go ahead as planned, a new date will be furnished in the next couple of weeks but most likely will now be at the end of the season.
