SEVERAL weather warnings have been issued, as snow and ice affects Gwent.
People are being warned to be careful this morning due to the conditions, which are making roads and pavements dangerous.
Warnings have been issued by the Met Office, Torfaen leisure Trust, and various schools and headteachers throughout the region.

The weather warning for today and tomorrow says: "Frost and ice at first, especially in the east. Otherwise a fine and cold day for many with sunny spells and scattered showers, these heavy in places, but generally becoming confined to West Wales. Lighter winds than on Tuesday. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

"Tonight cloud will thicken through the evening and overnight bringing outbreaks of rain, and some hill snow. As temperatures fall away frost and ice will form in places. Minimum temperature -1 °C."
