A WELL-KNOWN author will be delivering a talk at a popular crime and cream tea event next month.
Griffin Books, in Windsor Road, will soon be hosting Laura Shepherd-Robinson who will be discussing her new historical crime novel Blood & Sugar.
The book is set in 1781 when the slave trade was still thriving in Britain, and follows the exploits of Captain Harry Corsham as he investigates the murder at Deptford Dock of his friend, the prominent abolitionist Tad Archer.
The event will be taking place at 3pm on Tuesday, February 5 at All Saints Church, Penarth.
Tickets for the event are £15, which includes cream tea and a signed hardback copy of the book.
