A man has been charged in connection with a scam where conmen impersonate police officers.
Kye Hardwood, 18, from, London, has been charged with three counts of theft, three counts of fraud by false representation, and three counts of impersonating a police officer.
He appeared in Cardiff Magistrates' Court on Saturday, and was remanded in police custody.
The charges are related to two incidents in Penarth, and one in Cardiff, on Thursday, in which pensioners were tricked into handing over around £20,000.
