A PAIR of daredevils are taking on a new skydiving challenge for charity – skydiving.
Paul ‘Tin Tin’ Warren-Cox and Ian Norton, both from Penarth, have agreed to will do a 12,000ft skydive for Prostate Cymru.
“Don’t ask me why I’m doing this crazy thing,” said Mr Norton. “For a person who does not like heights, the more I think about it, the more I wonder what has happened to my rational thought processing ability. Perhaps it was also removed during my own Prostate Cancer operation last October!”
Weather permitting, the dive is planned for May 19 at Swansea Skydiving Centre.
The pair are searching for sponsors and want to reach a minimum of £1,000 – though they hope to hit £2,000.
Mr Norton has set up a “Justgiving” page for donations.
Prostate Cymru is primarily a voluntary group dedicated to helping Males in Wales fight Prostate Cancer by procuring equipment, funding training and raising awareness here in the Principality.
Annually throughout the UK prostate cancer claims 11,000 lives (approx. 3 three deaths every 2 two hours), with up to 32,000 new cases diagnosed. For more information or to donate, visit https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ian-norton3
