COMPANIES in Penarth have been announced as finalists in the Zokit Business Awards 2019.

Challenge Wales features in the business evolution, environmental excellence, sponsored by Penarth Management, and personal development categories.

Sailing charity Challenge Wales provides controlled life-learning for those aged 12 to 25 and uses teamwork to enable leadership, discipline, respect for others and communication skills.

Crafty Devil Brewing Company, owners of Cellar Penarth, is in the breakthrough brand category.

LCVA Services, in the startup spark category, helps other businesses reach their full potential by tailoring its assistance services to meet their business needs.

The event also features inspiring and informative talks, networking and an expo area.

More than 50 South Wales businesses and organisations stand to win an award during the gala lunch at the Zokit Springconf, in Cardiff City Stadium, on Saturday, May 16.

Five hundred business owners and directors are expected to attend to make connections and grow their businesses.

Wales rugby star and entrepreneur Alix Popham, who won 33 caps for his country, will take part in a Q&A about his life in rugby and business: “The Inner Game of Success: Playing at the Highest Level”.

The charity partner will be Cancer Research Wales.

There are also meet-ups for property professionals and veterans in business.

Finalists include HR businesses, cleaning companies, charities, financial services businesses, IT specialists, business support companies, a café, and a brewery.

Zokit is a community of business owners which stretches across South Wales, from Swansea to Chepstow.

It has more than 300 members and associate members in a range of sectors – from health and wellbeing and business services to digital marketing and training.

All finalists will be entered into a business of the year category and considered for the Judges’ Picks notable business awards.
