A NEW season of a popular Netflix series is coming to a TV screen near you - and it's being filmed in Penarth.
Comedy drama Sex Education, the hit series by Eleven Films, has apparently filmed scenes at Penarth's Paget Rooms.
Sex Education follows the story of teen virgin, Otis Milburn, who lives with his sex therapist mother, making him a ‘reluctant expert’ on the topic. When the beans are spilled at school, Otis realises he can gain status with his previously unused knowledge.
Joined with smart and edgy, Maeve, Otis sets up an underground sex therapy clinic, but soon he realises he may need some therapy of his own.
An insider source confirmed to the Penarth Times that the show was being filmed in the Paget Rooms, Windsor Road, a Penarth Town Council operated building last week, from Monday to Friday.
Actors and extras in sparkly, space-age costumes and make-up were seen in the area, with the source saying the historic theatre would double as a ball or prom scene.
Eleven Films and Penarth town Council have been contacted for comment.
