ARMED Police were spotted in Penarth on Sunday, with two men in their 30s and a 16-year-old girl arrested and subsequently bailed on suspicion of affray.

Armed police were spotted around Redlands Road on Sunday afternoon, along with a police helicopter.

A video, from Youtube channel Rightful Recordings, shows footage of the marked and unmarked police cars, along with armed officers speaking to a group of residents.

The residents were unrelated to the incident.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "South Wales Police responded to reports of a disturbance in the vicinity of Redlands Road, Penarth, at approximately 3.45pm on Sunday, October 13.

"Armed officers were deployed alongside divisional units to assist with a search of the area.

"A 16-year-old girl and two men, aged 32 and 35, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of affray.

"All have since been bailed until November 10.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information about the incident, who has not yet spoken to police, is asked to contact 101, quoting occurrence 1900378979."
