PENARTH celebrated Bonfire Night in style this year, putting on a mighty display of dazzling colour a awesome sound.

Penarth Athletic Club hosted one of the biggest displays in town, rocking the area around the home of Penarth’s Rugby Football Club.

Now in its 38th year, the Firework Fiesta is organised by the Rotary, Round Table and Rugby Clubs of Penarth.

The Lavernock Road site provided plenty of great views of the magnificent show, with hot food and drinks on sale for those feeling the chill.

The event opened its gates at 6pm on Tuesday evening, with the display kicking off at 7pm. Tickets were £5 for adults and £3 for children.

There is more yet to come.

Due to bad weather, Penarth Lawn Tennis Club has delayed their display, citing safety concerns.

Their display will now be held on Friday, November 8, and firework fanatics will be pleased to hear tickets are still available.

There will be food available from Lush’s Butchers, as well as a fully stocked bar selling a wide range of drinks and a sweet shop.

Gates for that event will open at 6.30pm. Tickets can be purchased at: https://tinyurl.com/y3xs2fdo
