CAT’s Green Christmas Fair is taking place on Saturday, December 14, and visitor centre entry and activities are all free and open to everyone.

Craft-a-gift and decoration making workshops will take place throughout the day including carving a spoon, making a wreath from natural materials or felt tree decoration making.

Family nature tours will be taking place throughout the day to explore how woodland support wildlife through the winter even when the leaves have fallen and the weather draws in and there will be new ‘winter from above’ displays in the Living Wales exhibition – showing how satellites can measure snow from space.

John Challen, CAT’s head of Eco Centre, said: "It’s great to be engaging the public in some of our core themes but in such creative ways.

"We wanted to offer free entry and free activities so that everyone can come and get involved.’’

Local musician Owen Shiers will be adding to the atmosphere, festive favourites will be served in CAT’s all-vegetarian café and 10 per cent discounted shopping is available all day from the CAT shop.
