TWO people were rescued from a car after a crash on the M6 involving a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) yesterday afternoon, Saturday.
Four fire engines were sent to the southbound side of the motorway between junction 20 at the Lymm Interchange and junction 19 for Knutsford at around 12.40pm following a collision between a car and HGV.

Firefighters used specialist electronic cutting equipment to release two casualties who were trapped in the car before they received care from paramedics.
Fire crews were on the scene for around 50 minutes.
