Celtic fans were surprised by news that Parkhead stadium is going even greener - by introducing a vegan-friendly food stall.

The club announced the launch of Hoops and Roots kiosk offering halftime vegan snacks.

One fan congratulated the move and wrote on Twitter: "I’m a vegan season ticket holder and I think is great, well done Celtic."

Another supporter commented on Facebook: "Celtic have no beef now 😂"

Even some Rangers fans supported the move: "That's a great move. I will support that at any club!"

Some were not so quick to rejoice about the inclusivity. One Twitter user said: "I remember when the sum total of offerings was pie, Bovril, chewing gum and macaroon bars. Ah, the good old days."

Some fans remain skeptical.

One fan responded to the announcement on Twitter: "Nice to see the vegans can suffer with the rest of us now..."

Fans will be able to make their own verdict on the food stand at the game against Kilmarnock on Sunday. Would you replace your pie with a vegan snack?
