THE VALE of Glamorgan Council has announced that it is suspending all council meetings until further notice.
The move follows the introduction of stringent measures aimed at limiting social interaction and tackling the spread of the virus.
The public has been advised to limit all unnecessary social interactions and to work from home where possible.
Earlier this week, the first known case of the Coronaviurs in Penarth was identified at the Ty Gwyn care home, and the Penarth Town Council closed their administrative offices at West House in the interest of public safety.
The Vale Council also announced the indefinite suspension of its Youth Services.
As further actions are taken, there will be updates on the Vale of Glamorgan Council's website: valeofglamorgan.gov.uk/en/our_council/press_and_communications/latest_news/2020/March/Coronavirus-Updates-2020.aspx
