Two coordinators at Dinas Powys Voluntary Concern, a local charity, have enlisted a team of more than 40 volunteers who wish to help the vulnerable and elderly who will need support during the Covid-19 crisis.

This local charity has had more than 45 years experience of supporting the community of Dinas Powys.

Councillor John Fanshaw, chair of the charity, said it was encouraging that so many people had offered their services to help local residents who are in isolation, and encouraged people to help their families and close friends.

He said: “If you wish to volunteer to help others, particularly those you do not know very well, you are welcome to do so through well established charities, such as Dinas Powys Voluntary Concern.

“We are a registered charity with a long and well established record of experience, safeguarding, and confidentiality for the benefit of both volunteers and those we help.” DPVC is coordinating ‘Help in Dinas Powys.’
