CHILDCARE provision for the Vale of Glamorgan’s key workers in the Covid-19 outbreak has changed to a hub-based system which will operate seven days a week.

14 hubs will now be available across the Vale of Glamorgan.

Vale of Glamorgan Council Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for regeneration and Education, Lis Burnett said: “Teachers are doing all they can in the battle against Coronavirus by going into work in difficult circumstances to look after vulnerable children and those of key workers.

“This action means that many people performing vital roles can continue that work at this time of crisis as the Country responds to the unprecedented threat posed by Coronavirus.

“That effort is hugely important and appreciated. I would ask everyone to support the teachers and pupils that are still in school as they are carrying out important work during this difficult period.”

Parents must apply weekly no later than Friday at 4pm for their children to attend a hub school in the following week.
