Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an attempted burglary in Watford.
The incident happened at a property in Mowlam Court, in Dodd Road, in the north of the town, at around 11.30pm on Sunday (July 12).
The people living in the address were in bed when they heard footsteps outside.
Police say attempts were made to force open the front door but the would-be burglar(s) was unsuccessful.
Detective Constable Julie Vint said: "We have conducted house to house enquiries in the area but are also appealing for anyone else who may have information about what happened to please contact police. Did you witness anyone acting suspiciously around the time? Please contact us with anything you think may assist us."
