PENARTH Town Council is offering grants of up to £1,000 to help business owners diversify their premises after lockdown.

The Independent Traders Fund is available to all independently owned businesses in Penarth town centre or district shopping area with an annual turnover of less than £75,000 per annum that were forced to close due to the pandemic.

Applicants must have been an established business in Penarth prior to March 2020 and must have been trading for at least one year.

Applications will open from today and will close at 12pm on August 20.

In total the council will be distributing £25,000 as part of the initiative to help with the costs of changing businesses.

Applicants will be informed as soon as possible about the outcome of their application.
