THE Vale council is seeking opinions over plans to build 14 affordable flats at St Cyres Road in Penarth.
The plans, which includes 14 one-bedroom flats fit for two people, includes 11 parking bays and is for over 55-year-olds only.
The land in question is at the rear of numbers two to four, School House, in front of St Cyres Court.
The proposal in planning terms is classified as a major development, so there is a requirement for the council to undertake a pre-application consultation.
Residents can submit their opinions to the council before September 11.
If the construction goes ahead, the accommodation will have three floors, with each apartment having a bedroom, a kitchen and lounge area, and a wet room.
A site notice and letters, the council says, have been posted to neighbouring properties, landowners and local councillors regarding the proposed development.
