A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court

GEMMA MCDOWELL, 38, of Church View, Llandough, was ordered to pay £1,000 by way of a fine, costs and a surcharge after she was found guilty of illegally parking in a disabled bay on Churchill Way in Cardiff.

She had denied the charge.

EMILY CHARLOTTE HARRY, 33, of Victoria Square, Penarth, was banned from driving for 14 months after she admitted drink-driving.

She was ordered to pay £419 by way of a fine, costs and a surcharge.

PAUL ARROWSMITH, 44, of Northcliffe Estate, Penarth, was banned from driving for 17 months after he admitted failing to provide a specimen.

He was ordered to pay £279 by way of a fine, costs and a surcharge.

MADELINE BURROWS, 41, of Plas Pamir, Penarth, was ordered to pay £811 by way of a fine, costs and a surcharge for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

CHANTELLE BRIGHT, 33, of Cardiff Road, Dinas Powys, was conditionally discharged for six months after she pleaded guilty to theft of goods worth £40 from Tesco.

She was ordered to pay £146 by way of compensation, costs and a surcharge.

ROBERT STICKLER, 33, of Cwrt Sanquhar, Cardiff, was ordered to pay £199 by way of a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted the possession of cannabis in Penarth.

TONI GOULD, 51, of Pearse Close, Penarth, was ordered to pay £217 by way of a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone on the A4161 in Cardiff.

Her driving record was endorsed with three points.

LAUREN MARIE HALL, 33, of Brean Close, Sully, was ordered to pay £217 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 48mph in a 40mph zone in Pontyclun.

Her licence was endorsed with three penalty points.
